Certified Fertility & Women’s
Health Dietitian
About Me:
I’m an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Nutritionist, Diabetes Educator, and founder of Wise Dietetics.
I have over 10 years experience as a dietitian, and I am extremely passionate about helping women (and couples) improve their understanding of nutrition to optimise health, especially their fertility health. My goal is to provide simple and practical evidence based nutrition and lifestyle strategies to increase the likelihood of conception, a healthy pregnancy, and a beautiful healthy baby.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of assisting numerous people with their nutrition goals, and I look forward to helping many more. I have previously worked in community health and within the aged care and disability sector, however, I developed a keen interest in reproductive health after my own fertility challenges.
I have firsthand experience in the difficulties of trying to conceive, having endured multiple miscarriages and unsuccessful IVF rounds, before being blessed with my own little girl. I understand the rollercoaster of emotions that comes with trying to conceive and assisted reproductive technology, and I am here to support you on your journey to conception and into parenthood.
I know the amount of information out there is overwhelming, and some of it can be conflicting and often inaccurate, so I am here to provide you with the right information, but also to make sure you feel heard, understood and supported on your journey. There is no “one size fits all” approach so lets work together to improve your fertility and achieve your family planning goals.

Understanding the impact of nutrition on fertility and reproductive health is crucial for anyone trying to conceive. A balanced diet rich in essential nutrients supports reproductive health and can enhance your chances of falling pregnant. We focus on ensuring overall nutritional balance, correcting any nutrient deficiencies, and incorporating a variety of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants known to support egg quality, hormonal balance, the uterine environment for implantation, and to reduce inflammation and oxidative stress. These are all beneficial whether you are trying to conceive naturally or are preparing for assisted reproductive technologies like IUI and IVF.
All services include individualised nutritional advice and dietary plans, high quality nutritional supplement recommendations, and email support between consults (as required) to help optimise your fertility journey.

Research also indicates that dietary strategies may help to slow endometriosis disease progression. Our aim is to reduce inflammation and oxidative stress, assist with hormone regulation, reduce gastrointestinal symptoms, and correct any micronutrient deficiencies.

Effective management of PCOS, insulin resistance, and diabetes starts with a well-balanced diet. Optimising your nutritional intake and lifestyle habits is crucial for managing these conditions, particularly for improving insulin sensitivity, reducing diet and lifestyle related inflammation, and supporting gut health. Personalised nutrition plans are tailored to address your individual needs, helping you regulate blood sugar levels, balance hormones, and support overall well-being.
Goals of treatment may include: improved menstrual cyclicity, ovulation, and fertility for those with PCOS; enhanced insulin sensitivity and better blood sugar control; reduced risk of chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease; hormonal balance and symptom management; and correction of any nutritional deficiencies

Good nutrition is essential for a healthy pregnancy and postpartum recovery, supporting both maternal and infant health. The nutritional demands of pregnancy are high and our dietary recommendations ensure a balanced nutritional intake incorporating essential nutrients. We aim to help you meet the nutritional needs required for the optimal growth and development of your baby, positively influence your baby’s genetic programming to give them the best possible start, correct any micronutrient deficiencies, achieve optimal weight gain for pregnancy, and manage adverse pregnancy symptoms such as cravings, food aversions, nausea and vomiting. Additionally, we provide support to help manage pregnancy complications such as gestational diabetes and pre-eclampsia, and to improve your energy levels.
Postpartum nutrition is just as important as pregnancy nutrition, helping to support recovery, hormone balance, and energy levels. We focus on replenishing nutrient stores, supporting breastfeeding (if applicable), and ensuring you have the nourishment needed to feel your best while caring for your newborn.
All services include individualised nutritional advice and dietary plans, high quality nutritional supplement recommendations, and email support between consults (as required) to help optimise your pregnancy journey.
